Rep. Jones Wants Unfinished Projects Investigated In Margibi

Margibi County Representative Ivar Jones has urged Superintendent Victoria Worlohab Duncan to launch an investigation into the numerous unfinished projects within the county.
Rep. Jones spoke during the induction of local county officials on August 16, 2024, at the Kakata City Hall where he emphasized the critical need for transparency and accessibility as essential components for the growth and development of Margibi County.
He revealed that funds had been allocated for various development projects across the county, yet many remain incomplete pointing out, “There are too many unfinished projects in the county, and some of these projects were fully paid for but have yet to see completion.”
Rep. Jones stressed, “No Business As Usual,” urging the newly inducted local officials to prioritize accountability and integrity in their governance.
He expressed the Caucus’s commitment to working collaboratively with the county administration to ensure smooth operations that benefit all Margibians and Liberians in general.
Rep. Jones also highlighted the importance of reconciliation among members of the Unity Party and urged residents to support the newly appointed local officials rather than opposing them.
He called for unity in identifying the needs of the community, encouraging the county council to collaborate with various political districts and senators’ offices to achieve meaningful development.
The induction ceremony was attended by lawmakers, government officials, community leaders, and residents from across Margibi County, all coming together to set aside political differences in pursuit of a unified agenda for the county.
The event fostered a sense of hope among attendees, who expressed their excitement for the future leadership of Margibi and their aspirations for transformative development.
