The Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah has emphasized the critical roles of Liberia’s media in national development thus seeking a more robust partnership with media institutions in the country.
Minister Piah underscored the government’s commitment to collaborating with journalists and media entities across the country for a more compassionate collaboration among institutions that seek to inform the public and ordinary citizenry.
The Information Ministry boss highlighted the essential partnership with media entities stressing that it will help in shaping Liberia’s progress.
Speaking at the Information Ministry’s regular press briefing on Thursday, Minister Piah announced plans to renovate the Ministry’s building in the coming days to enhance its operations.
Minister Piah noted that ongoing efforts under President Joseph Boakai’s leadership, including road construction projects linking Ganta to Gedeh and Maryland, as well as Grand Bassa to Rivercess to Sinoe counties.
Regarding energy initiatives, Minister Piah mentioned Vice President Jeremiah Koung’s advocacy efforts in Barcelona, Spain, supported by the World Bank and other partners.
“The focus of these discussions is to advance solar energy solutions aimed at stabilizing Liberia’s electricity supply, with the country set to benefit from $45 million in funding,” he added.
Meanwhile, Minister Piah reiterated the government’s dedication to national development and expressed confidence in President Boakai’s vision, emphasizing ongoing collaboration with dedicated ministers.
