During the early afternoon hours of Monday June 3, 2024 serious argument erupted between Director General Abraham Kromah and his deputy, Al Hassan Fadiga, at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) head office in Fiamah.
Nearly two months after the LDEA boss Kromah had a major press conference and announced the existence of zombie drug in the country and how the drug is dangerous than kush, his deputy, Fadiga on yesterday, posted on his official page saying: “We have received several calls regarding the existence of “Zombie Drug” in our country, as Deputy Director General of Operations for the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), we want to emphatically state that there is no evidence whatsoever to support these claims.”
“We want to assure the public and our international partners that these claims are unsubstantiated. Our team at the LDEA has thoroughly investigated these allegations and found no credible information or evidence to support the existence of the “Zombie Drug” in Liberia,” he further told his Facebook audience.
Apparently his assertion countered what his boss previously said which apparently led to tension within the agency’s compound and a scene on its premises yesterday and this conflict extended to involve their loyal officers.
Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman had to step in to end the fight between the two top officials thereby leading to them both being summoned for investigation by the Police.
Recently, this is recorded as being the second time such situation occurred between the two top officials.
