The Accountability Lab, (I-Lab) of Liberia is expected to honor five public servants for their high level of integrity, devotion, dedication, commitment to duty and service.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Country Director of I-Lab, Mr. Lawrence A. Yealue disclosed that individuals who cultivate high sense of integrity should be rewarded for their deportment.
He pointed out that a panel of expert and judges have been greatly involved with the vetting process free of prejudice. The I-Lab boss noted that the vetting and observational process is being done without the knowledge of the nominees so as to do away with sentiments.
Yealue clarified that Accountability Lab does not take money from anybody during the nomination and vetting processes. He stressed that the process is transparent void of manipulation, coercion, or any form of influence.
The Country Director of Accountability Lab mentioned that the five nominees will be recognized and awarded certificates for their immaculate performances. He iterated that the designated nominees will also be showcased in Liberia so as to allow the younger generation see integrity, commitment, and devotion to society as a hallmark to building a wholesome functioning society.
Yealue stressed that integrity is a cherished virtue that should be given keen attention in the Liberian Society. He indicated that the five individuals were thoroughly vetted through competitive process and they were selected amongst 30 nominees.
The Country Director of Accountability Lab stressed that all sectors of country were considered in the nomination process and the five who were finally selected performed especially. Yealue noted that I-Lab considered time at work, work output, and work habits and the five nominees proven to be extraordinary.
The I-Lab chief pointed out that the process lasted for eight months and three months were allotted for nomination while the rest of the five months were used for thorough vetting. He asserted that these individuals were monitored daily and their work’s rate was being recorded by the panelists.
The Country Director of Accountability Lab noted that the five finalists for the prestigious integrity idol award include Madam Musu M. Mulbah, a health work, Focus Person, SGBV, C.B. Dumber Hospital, Bong County, Ord-Siejepo Jlateh, Assistant Commissioner for Budget and Finance, Liberia Revenue Authority, Samuel G. Ford, Assistant Commissioner of Police for Community Services, Henry Heina Sele, Project Account, Ministry of Agriculture, and Oretha Menyongar Thomas, Office Assistant to the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
The program is expected to be held at the auditorium of the Accountability Lab on Friday, December 6, 2019.
