The administrator of the Ganta United Methodist Hospital, Allen Zomonway, says lack of ambulance is hampering the smooth running at health facility Nimba County.
In an exclusive interview, Zomonway revealed that the only ambulance at the Ganta Methodist Hospital had been parked at the compound due to mechanical fault.
According to the administrator, the 150 bedroom hospital is going through financial crisis couple with the lack of ambulance for the smooth running of the hospital.
“No ambulance to bring in pregnant women or sick patients in critical conditions to the hospital anymore and no more fund is coming from donors,” Administrator Zomonway lamented.
He further disclosed that the government had even reduced the hospital’s subsidy from US$ 300, 000 to US$ 25,000 indicating that “The hospital is gradually falling apart with workers even demanding salary payment couple with increment which is becoming worrisome. We are begging philanthropist to join us rescue the situation by donating ambulance, drugs and other logistics to help humanity,” the administrator expressed.
