Gregory Coleman Resigns

The Director General of the National Bureau of Concessions (NBC) Gregory Coleman has resigned his post and is expected to officially leave office on the 29th of November, 2019.
Recently, the outgoing NBC boss was accused by his two deputies for corruption, something which sparked up heated argument between them, at which time his both deputies were later suspended by the President for disorderly conduct.
In his letter of resignation, dated November 24th, 2019 to President Weah, the NBC boss said “my tenure as Director General of the National Bureau of Concession (NBC) has been filled with challenges and rewards. The bureau’s role on the Inter-ministerial Committee on Concession is now pivotal in determining the government’s policies toward concessions. We need to continue building capacities that extend and deepen the bureau’s influence in positive ways”
“I have served in government for nearly twenty years, unlike me, many others in government have made similar commitments to Liberia and remain unsung, and therefore, I am grateful to have achieved success to the top from the first rung of the Liberia National Police (LNP),” the letter said.
He added: “I remain committed to service to Liberia and feel that there is no better calling them public service. It is time for me to become private citizens; and, hereby resign as head of the National Bureau of Concession (NBC).”
