The Monrovia City Magisterial Court has issued an arrest warrant for Nayaborqua Oldpa Yeazeahn (AKA Prophet Key).
Prophet Key was charged with Criminal Coercion, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct, after Liberia’s Culture Ambassador, Juli Endee, complained him to the court.
The writ reads, “You are hereby commanded to arrest the living body of Nayaborqua Oldpa Yeazeahn (AKA Prophet Key) to be identified, and forthwith bring him before the Monrovia City Court, Temple of Justice Building, Montserrado County, to answer to the Charge of Criminal Coercion, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct, based upon the oath and complaint of the Republic of Liberia by and through Julie Endee.”
In a writ issued on Monday, February 5, 2024, Ambassador Endee complained against Prophet Key that in the month of December, 2023, Prophet Key, in a video podcast published on social media, willfully, intentionally and purposefully informed the public that she is a prostitute and has slept with former President Charles Taylor and the past President Weah to solicit job, and she is currently sleeping with the Unity Party Secretary, Amos Tweh, to maintain her position as Liberia’s Cultural Ambassador.
The complaint added that Prophet Key threatened that he will ensure that she never has the opportunity to work in any other government in her life time in Liberia, thereby placing her in fear.
She mentioned that she did this with the intent and purpose to bring Prophet Key to public ridicule and shame.
It can be recalled that Ambassador Endee dragged Yeazeahn to court for an alleged action of damages for libel and slander.
In a writ issued on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Ambassador Endee complained and informed the court to adjudge the defendant liable for damages, to the tune of not less than US$5m for general damages to be decided by the trial jury.
The complaint further requested the court to hold the defendant for US$300,000 in punitive damages and US$250,000 for successful attorney fees.
