Liberia, the West African nation known for its rich cultural heritage, has now become the proud host of the International Gospel Musician Alliance (IGMA).

The recent launch of the IGMA is an unprecedented initiative aimed at uniting voices for global praise, as well as foster collaboration and advance the gospel through music.

The launch of IGMA in Liberia has also set the stage for a powerful musical movement with significant potential to impact the lives of individuals globally.

The International Gospel Musician Alliance (IGMA) was founded in January of 2023 in Liberia, after Amb. Eveine Natt Kamara saw the need for a global network of gospel musicians and support staffs.

They include engineers, instrumentalists, singers, music lovers, distributors, and others in the music industry, as IGMA got established in other countries, including Australia, America, Nigeria, and other parts of the world.

Officially launching the organization, Rivercess County Representative, Steve Tequah, emphasized the importance of IGMA in bridging cultural divides, creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration among global gospel music leaders.

Known as one of Liberia’s best musical engineers, Tequah highlighted the need to leverage technology and social media platforms to expand the reach of gospel music.
Rep. Tequah emphasized the organization’s ability to provide hope, solace, and inspiration during challenging times.

Meanwhile, a new leadership was also inducted into office to steer the affairs of IGMA. Those inducted are Stalin A. Dudley, Coordinator; Pastor

Phebe Joss Johnson, Asst. Coordinator for Administration; Samuel Lees Jackson, Asst. Coordinator for Operations; Priscilla N.W. Godwin, General Secretary; Frances D. Blanyon, Recruitment Officer, and Angeline J. Nugba- Chaplain.

Making remarks minutes after taking office, IGMA Coordinator, Stalin A. Dudley, said their vision is to bring the world to the knowledge of God through gospel music.

He added that they will also create a platform for their members in different countries by networking, encouraging cross-cultural collaborations, promoting gospel music education, and providing professional support to emerging talents worldwide.

As IGM takes its first steps on this transformative journey, Liberians in the music industry eagerly await the positive impact it will have on the lives of individuals across borders.
