AML Workers’ Union Election Campaign Heats Up In Nimba

ArcelorMittal Workers Union Chairman, Chea Romeo Brooks, says AML workers are to shortly go to the polls to elect new leaders that will steer the affairs of the union and its workers.
Speaking to this paper in Sanniquellie over the weekend, Chairman Brooks disclosed that campaign is ongoing in Yekepa, Bong, Buchanan, and Monrovia.
Speaking on series of issues affecting the workers at the AML operations site in Nimba, Bong, and Buchanan, Brooks boasted that under his administration, the AML Management increased housing and education allowance for workers with.
According to Brooks, if everything goes well and according to plan, the election will be held on January 11, 2024 at various polling centers in Yekepa, Buchanan, and Monrovia on the same date.
Incumbent Chea Romeo Brooks is a formidable candidate and will be contesting for the AML Workers Union Chairman position on January 11, 2024.
“The election will be taken place in the same date in Yekepa, Buchanan, Monrovia,” Chairman Brooks revealed.
“The election observers will be deployed in Yekepa, Buchanan, Monrovia on the same date and time, under the watchful eyes of AML staff and other observers,” Brooks disclosed.
Since the beginning of 2023, many of the AML operations sites in Nimba have been engulfed in series conflicts or demonstrations by workers in demand of good working conditions, salary increment, job benefits, among other things.
