Dweh To Host Remembrance Tournament

Liberian international footballer, Sampson Dweh, in collaboration with his family will host a one day football tournament this Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Barnersville Estate Stadium.
The tournament under the Theme: “Remembering my root,” will feature four teams, including Pepper Soccer Academy (Pesa), Block 17, Area F Community and Barnersville All-stars.
The tournament is intended to have the international based Liberian footballer promoting the growth and development of football in his home land where he started his professional career. Dweh is currently based in Czech Republic playing for top league club Viktoria Plzen.
According to the organizers, the objective of the tournament is for Dweh, who now plays international soccer for Czech Republican top league club Viktoria Plzen, to give back to his root and reunite with his old friends, family, teammates and fans.
They further disclosed that the tournament as part of effort to enhance the participating teams smoothly going to the event, each team will receive U$120 as their preparation package.
The winner of this tournament will walk away with a giant size trophy and Two U$250 while the runner up will pocket U$200.
Other individual awards for deserving players like the Most Valuable Player, highest scorer, best goalkeeper, best defender and best midfielder, will get a signed jersey of Sampson Dweh each as a reward for their hard work.
