Deputy Police Director Apologizes To Cllr. Sesay

The Deputy Police Inspector General for Operation, Marvin Sackor has openly apologized in the Magisterial City Court for assaulting a Liberian Lawyer, Counselor Swohilo Sesay.
Inspector Sackor on Wednesday, October 30, appeared before court to respond to Counselor Swohilo Sesay’s claims against him or risks being arrested consistent with Chapter 10, Section 10.1&2 of the Criminal Procedure Law of Liberia.
In a conference yesterday, Inspector Sackor explained that Cllr. Sesay misbehaved at the police station and was asked to play the recording he had allegedly done and when the recording was played, the judge noticed that the recording had nothing to do with the complaint and told Inspector Sackor that he was wrong. Inspector Sackor expressed his wrong claims and openly apologized before the judge in his chamber and pleaded forgiveness.
It can be recalled that Deputy Police Chief Summons came as a result of his alleged refusal to honor Judge Ernest Bana’s October 29, conference after Counselor Sesay ran to the Court for intervention.
The summoned issues against Inspector Sackor further revealed that the Deputy Police Chief was charged with multiple offenses ranging from criminal solicitation, simple assault & disorderly conduct in violation of Chapter 14, Section 14.21 of the Penal Law of Liberia.
On October 28, the Deputy Inspector General for Operation, Marvin Sackor reportedly assaulted & later ordered his junior officers to throw Counselor Swohilo Sesay out of the LNP Headquarter where his client was undergoing an investigation for allegedly buying a stolen gold.
