“Vote Development Over Tribalism” -Weah Preaches To Lofians

By Precious D Freeman

President George Weah has emphasized that it is better to vote development over tribalism, because Liberia is for all.

Preaching his reelection matter in Lofa, President Weah said Liberia is for all Liberians, despite geographical location, and it is very important for the people of Lofa to prioritize lasting development of their county over tribal or county line.

“I am from Grand Kru County but I am fixing Lofa road, and I am doing this because I believe in the development of my country and its people,” he added.

Speaking to tons of Lofians who came out en mass in Zorzor City during the CDC campaign tour on September 25, 2023 to welcome the President, the CDC Standard Bearer stated that even though he didn’t get too many votes from the Lofians during his first term, but he believes that more will come from there during his second term.

“You people didn’t vote me hundred percent, but I have done a lot for your county, so you can imagine if you give me your support, I will do more,” the incumbent President said.

He continued that the Lofians supported the Unity Party, but they have not been able to carry on any developmental activities there adding, “If you vote me, I promise to do more of what I have started, because I am a man of my word, who is known as talk and do, I will make sure that I put a smile on every Lofian’s face.”

President Weah at the same time assured Lofians that he will continue with the ongoing developments of Lofa County and the Country at large, and as such, he rallied their support for his reelection bid, in order to complete his developmental initiatives across Liberia.
