Siakor Promises Good Governance Practice When Given Presidency

One of Liberia’s 2023 elections Presidential aspirant, Franklin O. Siakor, says good governance practiced at all levels remains his ultimate political interest when given the space to represent the Liberian people as President in the pending elections.


The presidential aspirant who is an expert in development studies and conflict transformation represented the people of Bong County as a Senator from 2005-2011 in what his supporters believed was an effective discharge of his national service while representing Bong during the regime of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf,


He served as a member of the Senate’s committee on planning and economic affairs, a position that positively impacted several residents in Bong and Liberia by extension.


Expressing his vision for Liberia when given the political space to the Liberian presidency, Siakor said promoting good governance will be one of the areas of concentration in improving the living conditions of the ordinary Liberian.


The independent Presidential aspirant alleged that the government of President George Manneh Weah has failed the Liberian people from all sectors, adding that nowadays vast major of the Liberians people continued to wallow in poverty, while those in governmental positions enjoy at the detriment of the underprivileged Liberians.


He believes that the time has come for citizens to wheat out what he called ‘the failed Weah-Taylor Government’ a government he said, has been hugely dominated by a gang of inexperienced and insincere workers that has over the years squandered several opportunities from the downtrodden Liberians.


According to the Liberian presidential aspirant, good governance has eight attributes that ensure equal participation in the governance and decision-making processes of the country.


Mr. Siakor assured Liberians that when elected, his government will ensure good governance which he said will mark a new beginning where his leadership will effectively promote equal distribution of the national budget in response to the needs of the ordinary Liberians.


He further said transparency, and accountabilities, equitable distribution will be high on his government’s agenda which will ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all Ministries and agencies.


Responding to a question as to whether his political manifestoes have been embraced by Bongese and Liberians, Siakor said his political manifestos have been welcomed across the length and birth of Liberia-citing his many impacts made both at local and national levels in the country.


Meanwhile, the Liberian statesman used the medium to caution Liberian electorates to see him as the best alternative for the country’s presidency, if the country is to be on the path with other nations across the world.
