CHRIDA-House Of Testimony Honors Mothers With A Call To Be Productive

By Bill W. Cooper
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, friends and other women joined mothers of the Christian Interdenominational Assemblies (CHRIDA) House of Testimony in celebration of this year’s Mother’s Day.
The church, located in Zubah Town, was also filled with the sweet aroma of flowers and the sound of joyful hymns as families came together to honor women who continue to play important roles in the lives of their families.
Started as far back in May 12, 1907, Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of every mother in society.
It is also celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May, as its complements similar celebrations, honoring family members, such as Father’s Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents’ Day.
Furthermore, the celebration of Mother’s Day is an important tradition in many churches around the world, and it serves as a reminder of the immense love and sacrifice that mothers make for their families.
Delivering her sermon on the theme: “Mothers Are to be Women of Dominion and Productivity” from the text: Titus 2:3 -5, Mother Mimi A. Garty spoke about the importance of mothers in our lives and the sacrifices they make to raise their children.
She also reminded the congregation of the biblical story of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and how her unwavering faith and devotion were an inspiration to all; something she said women of CHRIDA and other mothers in Liberia should emulate.
According to her, motherhood is one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences that a woman can have, noting, “It is a time of immense joy and fulfillment, but it can also be a time of stress and uncertainty.”CHRIDA-House Of Testimony Honors

“As a mother-to-be, it is important to prepare yourself for the journey ahead by becoming a woman of dominion and productivity because being a woman of dominion means taking control of your life and your circumstances.
“So, it means being proactive rather than reactive, and taking responsibility for your own happiness and success. This is especially important when it comes to motherhood, as there are many challenges and obstacles that can arise,” she explained.
Mother Garty added that becoming a woman of dominion and productivity is essential for mothers-to-be, and indicated, “By taking control of your life, setting goals, cultivating a positive mindset, and being productive, you can navigate the challenges of motherhood with grace and confidence.”
“So, remember to be kind to yourself and others along the way, and to celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem because you serve as the conduit between the world, children and husband,” she added.
Earlier, reading a special statement on behalf of the CHRIDA mothers, sister Judy A. Wright said women are special influential and are helpers as God said in his word, noting that for this reason, they are priceless in addition to a helper role.
According to her, payment is difficult to be determined, as well as the services description is unlimited, or the job description is unlimited, adding, “Don’t look down on yourself, because of your gender.”
She added, “So, be the best you can women, because the authority has been given to you, and consider this test Deuteronomy 8:18 remembering the Lord your God, for it is he who give you the ability to produce wealth; so confirms his ancestor as it is today.”
The president of the Women’s department, Christiana Winnie Saywah-Jimmy, said, “It was such a beautiful service, and I feel so blessed to have my children, friends, family and church members surround us with love and support.”
