The newly birthed Democratic National Allegiance (DNA) has politically grabbed three officials of the Victory for Change (VTC).
Making the pronouncement yesterday at the DNA headquarters in Monrovia, the VTC national chairlady, Neke Walters, explained that they all have come to work together with the DNA in order to push the party forward.
According to her, she and her members have decided to switch to the DNA because they have realized that the party will provide a visionary leader and one with strategic vision, integrity, sincerity and love for the country.
“We have realized that DNA is prepared to work towards building a sustainable, resilient, political institution that is capable of taking the nation to greatness, where everyone has the chance for decent education and jobs that will enable more decent livelihoods,” she said.
“We all have not come to joke, we came with all our might and power; we are not the type of people that pretend, once we support you, there is no turning back,” she promised.
According to her, she is well-known at her previous political party because of her political strength in uniting youths, adults especially women together for the betterment of the party.
“Liberia needs a fresh start, we need a new kind of leader that actually cares about the people of the country and can make the necessary changes to solve real problems which confront Liberia today, and I know that DNA is the rightful place,” she said.
Meanwhile, she explained that the cause of them joining DNA is because of the report of the alignment and realignment.
Accepting the new members, the DNA’s Montserrado county chairperson, Dennis Garlay welcomed them, and promised that they will not regret the decision that they have taken.
The DNA with founding standard-bearer William Weah-Tuider, had gained its accreditation through the NEC Board of Commissioners as a full political party to partake in Liberia’s upcoming Presidential and Legislative election.
