Kpatawee Boys Hold Chasers To Goalless Draw

In Bong County, league toppers Future Bright Stars Football Club were held to a goalless draw by their major title contenders Kpatolee United Sports Association in the LFA Third League at David Kuyon Sports Stadium on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
The Chasers went into this title-deciding match against second-place KUSA with a 4-point advantage having played a game more than the lower Bong County side in the second phase.
Monue P. Dolo’s men pushed to the limit to reduce the gap and later used the game in hand to leapfrog but were a bit outplayed by the Orange and Black boys.
Both sides created a couple of chances but more opportunities came from the visitors, FBS.
William Kollie was seemed to have broken the deadlock, 10 minutes after the break when he headed in Thomas Sackie’s cross but was disallowed for offside.
One point of discussion after the match is suspended Exodus Feijue who surprisingly stood between the sticks for KUSA when he was directly red-carded against the same opponents, a game before today’s match.
However, according to the local FA Secretary General, John Snawulu, Feijue’s suspension was reduced following an investigation launched into the matter.
Early yesterday afternoon, the defending champions TUSA had a match with King Sao Boso but was postponed to an unknown date.
