Bong Senatorial Aspirant Kpehe cautions Electorates

By Patrick N. Tokpah (Bong Contributor)

A businessman turned politician, Jonny K. Kpehe Sr. has cautioned residents of Bong County to disengage from preaching tribal politics and focus on the progressive agenda of the county.

Mr. Kpehe made the assertion during a political engagement with members of the Lofa Community residing in Gbarnga City; Bong County on April 1, 2023.

According to the senatorial aspirant, if Bong County is to be compared to other counties in terms of development, every resident of the county needs to unite and forget issues that will bring discrimination amongst residents of the county.

Mr. Kpehe disclosed that it is about time that every resident of Bong County unite and work in the interest of the county and its residents; adding that doing so will serve as a legacy for future generations of the county and Liberia at large.

The famous businessman further described Bong County as the forerunner of Liberia; noting that the county consists of residents from diverse parts of Liberia, as such, there should be no hatred amongst those who are residing in the county.

Mr. Kpehe at the same time attributed the division of Bong County to what he termed as party sentiment, noting that if residents of the county are to be reunited; they need to love each other and forgo their prevailing situation; thereby describing love as the key to the development of the county.

Moreover, Mr. Kpehe has described himself as a direct replica of projects; thereby calling on his fellow senatorial aspirants to talk less and do more if they are to be compared to him in terms of development in the county.

He also used the medium to challenge those describing him as uneducated not to think about his educational status; adding that his developmental initiatives will speak for him in the pending October general and presidential elections in Bong County.

His statements came following a recent hate message preached by Bong County District-2 Representative James M. Kolleh calling on residents to not elect someone who does not originate from Bong County.

Mr. Kpehe at the same time presented US$ 2,000 to authorities of the group for the completion of their ongoing meeting hall project that was initiated by Bong County Senator, Prince K. Moye a few years ago.
