It was a sunshine day for Tony Football Club March 15, 2023 when the boys heavily defeated Almighty Football Club 10 goals to one at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex Practice Pitch in Paynesville.
Momo Blamo scored four of the 10 goals against Almighty to move on top of the goal-scoring chart in the Liberia Football Association National Second Division League for the 2022-23 season.
He took the lead from Theo Williams of Gardnersville Football Club who has been so influential and outstanding in the competition pushing his club’s interest of winning the season’s trophy and getting the necessary promotion to the first league.
Blamo is now ahead of Williams, his immediate contender with one goal as he promised to continue his stunning goal-scoring form while the season gets to a most decisive end in the coming days.
Blamo registered a hat-trick in the first half, and closed his score-sheet for the day with one goal in the second half.
Abraham and Ousmane Kamara along with Ezekiel Tamba were recorded for buttressing the sticker’s four different nettings for the club to the biggest win for the season.
Abraham Kamara registered a hat-trick, followed by a brace from Ezekiel Tamba and Ousmane Kamara’s one goal were all sufficient enough for Tony FC to celebrate over Almighty FC.
His four goals also brought on his second hat-trick of his debut season for Tony FC in the Orange National League-2nd Division at the same venue.
Blamo recorded his first hat-trick for Tony FC in a convincing 5-2 win over Angels FC at the SKD PP in Paynesville.
He is now Tony FC’s highest goal scorer in all competitions with 20 goals since he joined Tony FC from FC Quincy of Margibi County.
The team’s former highest goal scorer and the 2021-2022 golden boot winner of the Orange National League-2nd Division Abraham Kamara has 14 goals who is the club’s second highest goal-scorer.
Blamo is hoping to help gain promotion to the top-tier league and also on winning his first golden boot in the Orange National League-2nd Division with Tony FC as his club still sits at 4th place with 41points.
