Liberia’s Culture Ambassador and Traditional Queen, Juli Endee, has received the internationally prestigious Emerald Global Peace and Humanitarian Award alongside Super stars from Hollywood, New York, Georgia, Africa, Canada and other countries at the 5th Annual American Emerald Awards in Philadelphia, USA.
The Emerald Award was presented by Legendary producer and writer Norbert Brown Jr. from Hollywood, on Saturday, March 11 at the Cicely Tyson Music Theatre at 4732 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.
The Emerald Awards have since showcased many recipients and finalists who are raising the bar in addressing local, regional, and global issues per excellence across all sectors, including business, community work, Health, Legacy Women’s rights, Peace and Social works among others, thus making the recipients unique not only in the USA but also in Africa and across the world.
The Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP), Executive Director and Vision Bearer of the Golden Image Award (GIA), Amb. Endee as part of a Liberian delegation, headed by the Minister of Gender Williametta Piso Saydee Tarr is currently at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, attending the Commission on the status of Women (CSW) in celebration of International Women’s Day with a key focus on FGM in Liberia promoting Initiation without Mutilation.
In a brief statement to the media following the receipt of the Prestigious Emerald Award, Ambassador Endee dedicated the Award to all women of Liberia, the traditional leaders and the Crusaders for Peace family for their hard work and support.
She thanked the Government of Liberia, the UN, Ambassador Jaha Dukureh, and Tina Weusinger for their support, to Chief Zanzan Karwor, and the traditional leaders for attending the Award ceremony.
This is the second time in less than a month that Ambassador Endee has been honored for her dedication, patriotic, nationalistic contributions and commitment to the Liberian society.
About a week ago on International Women’s Day which was celebrated at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo town outside Monrovia, Ambassador Endee was also honored by the Women of Liberia along with the President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor among others for their dedication and commitment in supporting the women of Liberia and promoting Peace and unity.
