Catholic Hospital Community Residents To Be Evicted

Residents of the Catholic Hospital community were on February 25, 2023, threatened with illegal eviction.
Homes in the Catholic Junction Community to the NP Gas Station going as far as Bernard Beach have been claimed by an individual called Stanton Gaye.

Gaye is claiming that the land of 13.704 acres starting from the Catholic Junction to the NP Gas Station to Bernard Beach is a community of more than ten thousand residents. “Some of them have lived for over fifty years and settled there. They have had their children born and their children’s children,” our reporter observed.

According to a family member from the original Gaye family, Mr. Anthony D. Morgan, Stanton Gaye is not a biological child of the late Joseph V. Gaye; the late Joseph V. Gaye has only four biological children and one passed away, the three remaining are currently living in the United States of America.

The story stated further that Mr. Morgan and Stanton Gaye are in the constant habit of criminally using the name of the late Joseph V. Gaye Sr. as their father went around surveying people’s land in the name of the late Joseph V. Gaye Senior.

Not only the Catholic community has been involved in such a criminal act, but had also done the same in other communities, like the Sophie community, Gaye Town on the Old Road, SOS Hospital where the Latter Day Church is in Fiamah and other communities.

Mr. Anthony Dash Morgan said, “All the original documents are in America after the passing of the Late Joseph V. Gaye Sr. who passed out in 1997 and his wife Mrs. Gaye died in 2017, but the families in America, are surprised to hear that Stanton Gaye who was just a child living with their late father, not even a biological child defrauding Deeds going from court-to-court intimidating people and the late Gaye.”
According to Morgan, his wife in the States, the daughter of Mr. Joseph V. Gaye Sr. is trying all efforts to send the deeds to Morgan and Power of Attorney to stop Stanton Gaye from carrying on these criminal acts with their late father’s properties.

It can be recalled that in 2007, Mr. Augustine B. Kiazulu sued in the Civil Law Court ‘B’ and the court sent shifts and police officers to evict residents on the beach side of the land and that part of the land has about close to four thousand residents and this same land again is also a part of the land that Station Gaye is claiming to be part of the late. Joseph V. Gaye Sr’s Land that he is claiming illegally with the community.

While the matter is ongoing, the Beysolow families too have come out to claim that the land doesn’t belong to Gaye Senior but the Beysolow are claiming from Vamoma House in Sinkor, as far as the Nigeria House in Congo Town.

According to them, they are on the process of filing their bill of information to the court informing the Supreme Court that the land is not for the Gaye but the Beysolow and the matter was calmed down yesterday when the community gathered at the Catholic Junction to put on resistance, because Stanton Gaye came with more than thirty shifts and a group of zogos to break people’s properties without court documents.
