Pastor Sent To Jail For Wife Battering

The Cleansing Word Pentecostal Church Pastor, Roland Wallo, has been sent to the Monrovia Central Prison for allegedly beating his wife, Angeline Wallo in the Matadi Community.
The Monrovia City Court’s decision came when complainant Wallo vehemently complained that she and her husband are legally married but the defendant has purposely and intentionally refused and neglected to provide maintenance and support for his family.
The defendant Wallo were charged with Persistent Non-Support, Domestic Violence, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct.
According to the writ of arrest, the defendant is in constant habit of beating and inflicting serious bodily pains on the complainant Wallo and reigning insults on her publicly thereby causing her serious public inconvenience and annoyance.
Judge Jomah Jallah maintained that the alleged act of the defendant being unlawful, illegal and intentionally is in violation of Section 14.25, 17.3 & 16.5 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.
“You are hereby commanded to arrest the living body of defendant Roland Wallo to answer to the charges against him, the court ordered,” he rendered.
