Mawine Diggs Named July 26th Orator

Commerce and Industry Minister, Mawine Diggs, has been named as orator of this year’s July 26th National Independence Day celebration, Deputy Minister of Information for Public Affairs, Jarlawah Tonpo told the media yesterday.
He said the celebration which is expected to bring together the country’s population will begin from Thursday, July 21 with Golden Image Award targeting about 800 seated guests will be awarded.
Announcing the itinerary, he said on Friday, July 22, an intercessory prayer service will take place in the various mosques across the country and that during the same day; the government will honor long term public servants for their contributions to the country and their people.
Tonpo disclosed that on Saturday, July 23, there will be whole day sporting affairs between the executives and other retirees of the sporting bodies in the country as part of the celebration.
On Sunday, July 24, another intercessory prayer service will be held at the Assemblies of God Mission Church located on Buchanan Street in central Monrovia.
