In Ganta: DEO Warns Teachers

The Ministry of Education’s District Education Officer (DEO) assigned in Bain Garr, Abel Legay, has warned teachers in District 1 to do away with fraud, sex for grades coupled with other malpractices that undermine the sector.
The DEO made the statement when about 2,592 students were sitting the national examination in that part of the country.
Speaking to this paper at the sub MOE office in Ganta, DEO Legay disclosed that of the 2,592 students registered for this year’s examination in district one, 1,156 were 12th graders while 1,155 were 9th graders.
DEO Legay boasted that 281 3rd graders registered for the national examination for the first time in the Nimba Schools System.
Bain Garr contains two educational districts that boast of huge number of schools that are catering to over 20, 000 school-going children.
