On-Arrival Testing Not Required For Covid …Liberia Adapts Int’l Travel Protocol

The Government of Liberia has reinforced its Travel Protocol Guidelines in relations to the Covid-19 but with slight modifications.
According to the announcement, Covid 19 testing is no longer a requirement on arrival at the Roberts International Airport (RIA).
In what it termed as new regulation released yesterday, the Ministry of Health said all travellers must complete the health screening form through the Liberia travel application.
The Ministry of Health said anyone experiencing difficulties with accessing the app can get a hard copy of the form from the National Public Health Institute of Liberia webpage.
However, the government said all travelers without proof of vaccination will be returned to their country of embarkation at the expense of the airline and that all persons traveling to countries that require a covid 19 test must present a negative covid 19 certificate departure.
According to the notification, all travelers 18 years and above must show proof covid-19 vaccination upon arrival and present a negative Covid 19 test result no earlier than 72 hours before departure.
The reinforcement of the guidelines is that all persons traveling out of Liberia are to be fully vaccinated and follow the covid 19 requirements of the destination country.
Meanwhile, testing fees for outgoing travelers who require Covid Travel Certificate, the cost remains at US$ 50 for those traveling to ECOWAS Countries and those traveling outside the ECOWAS region must pay US$ 75.
