Jonahsa Foundation Identifies With Students

In a effort to ease hardship on parents, a non-profit group dubbed “Jonahsa Foundation” over the weekend, commenced distribution of some assorted materials to students in four counties.
Items distributed include, Book bags, copy books, pencils, crayon, drawing, study books, pens, among others, as he named Montserrado, Margibi, Bomi and Grand Bassa as counties in which the distribution is now taking place.
Speaking Friday, during the distribution process from North Dakota USA, the Founder and president of the organization, Jonah Barcon disclosed that the initiative targets over 500 underprivileged children in primary schools across the four beneficial counties.
According the Foundation’s President, the gesture is intended to ease the financial burden faced by some parents.
“My Plan is to see an educated Liberian society, where the children of Liberia will become the future of this country, and we can only do that by investing in the children’s primary education”. He stressed.
“There are two major sectors the Foundation intend to invest, both Education and Agriculture, because to educate the youthful population of Liberia, investment in the Foundation of the children is pivotal to achieving this goal,” He reiterated.
Mr. Barcon further underscored the need for stockholders and the government to greatly invest in early childhood education.
According to him, investing in primary education a way forward in addressing s long time educational glitches.
He then called on government to improve early childhood education in rural communities across Liberia through financial support, teacher training programs and improving of school facilities.
“We can get rig-off the high rate of literacy and extreme poverty in Liberia by directly investing in both Agriculture and Early Childhood Education,” the Organization founder asserted.
Barcon used the occasion to thank donors and supporters for their overwhelming support and prayers for the Foundation.
