Who Replaces Tiawan Gongloe As LNBA President?

The Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) is expected to hold its annual convention from Thursday, 25 to Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Ganta, Nimba County.
The meeting will bring together judges of courts of records, counselors, attorneys and students of the Louise Arthur Grimes School of Law who are all members of the professional body.
During the convention there will be several activities like continuing legal education (CLE) sessions which will afford lawyers the opportunity to acquire their ten credit hours for their 2022 license.
But the most important one is the elections of officers of the LNBA for the next 3 years’ one term which will form part of the activities during the convention.
Those racing to take charge from Counselor Tiawan Saye Gongloe whose tenure of service will come to an end on Saturday, November 28 as the campaign heat is on amongst LNBA members who are all in high spirit of winning.
Contesting for the LNBA’s presidency is Sylvester Dorbor Rennie, who is the current Veep of Gongloe’s regime while Swaliho A. Sesay, Jallah A Barbu and Abraham B. Sillah are the other presidential hopefuls.
For the vice presidency are Bobby F. W. Livingstone, current General Secretary of Gongloe’s administration; Jamal C. Dehtho, and Golda Elliott while those wanting to be General secretary are Jura A. Lynch, Bornor M. Varmah, Luther Vaifee and Larmii Kpargoi.
For those canvassing to serve as treasurer are B. Rachel Yabah Doubah, Evelyn Lah-Gongloe and Mameita Jabateh-Sirleaf. But the contest is between two candidates, the present LNBA’s Veep and Sylvester Dorbor Rennie, who wants to continue where Gongloe shall have stopped, and that of Jallah Barbu, former head of LNBA’s Secretariat.
