“Unite To Build A Better Liberia”
…VP Taylor Admonishes Liberians

Liberia’s Vice President, Jewel Howard-Taylor has admonished Liberians to unite and build a better Liberia for all Liberians and the ones yet unborn.
“It is time for us as Liberians to work together to build a better Liberia for all and not a bitter Liberia irrespective of our political, religious and or ethnic backgrounds,” she stressed.
Delivering a special remark at the official dedication ceremony of Montserrado County Senator, Abraham Darius Dillon Center for Rehabilitation and Integration (CRI) yesterday, in Cooper Farm community in Rehab, VP Taylor described the Rehabilitation Center as a start and stressed the need for similar to be built in other counties.
“I do not want this project to be politicized because nowadays, we politicize everything even if it’s something intended for the good of this country. Now Sen. Dillon has taken the lead by erecting this structure intended to help rehabilitate our children, so I urge everybody to join this fight against drugs,” she emphasized’.
According to her, it is impossible for a country to win the fight against illicit drugs without a rehabilitation center intended to cater to the mental health of those taking in the substance.
She added, “If this generation is not ready or prepared, what we are building will be for nothing. So, the need for the construction of this facility could not have come at a better time than now.”
“I therefore want to use this occasion to urge my colleagues in the legislature to see this as a challenge for us all because it is a serious fight for the younger generation of this country,” VP Taylor pointed out.
She then lauded Sen. Dillion and team for the facility, something she said will help the government immensely in the fight against drug abuse as well as the rehabilitation process of the disadvantaged youths (Zogos).
In remarks also, Liberia’s Former Vice President, Joseph Boakai and the Political leader of the Liberty Party (LP), Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence thanked the Montserrado County Senator for the erection of the Rehabilitation center intended to rehabilitate the disadvantaged youths in the country.
Sen. Karnga-Lawrence however vowed to lead the campaign to eradicate drugs out of Liberia by pushing for the crime to become a non-bailable offense at the level of the Liberian Senate.
Meanwhile, the colorful dedication ceremony brought face-to-face several past and present government officials including various Senators from the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) as well as the Political leaders of the All Liberian Party (ALP), Unity Party (UP) and Liberty Party (LP) among others.
